Art and religion have a long and complicated history together.  Sometimes they inspire and reinforce each other, other times they oppose and condemn.  The two have much in common and yet can have fundamentally different objectives.  We will explore that relationship today and the difficult questions it poses: of moral responsibility, of freedom of expression, of what is worthy of our creation and admiration.
