Ministry for Children and Families

United is a multi-generational community. Our children and youth are integral to who we are, and we are proud to offer a compelling and engaging religious education ministry. We believe in fostering an environment where our young people feel accepted for who they are, are encouraged to ask questions and think deeply, learn about Unitarian Universalism and world religions, and can develop their spiritual paths and ideas.

Childcare is offered most Sundays for the littlest among us. Adult volunteers trained in CPR and emergency procedures work together to facilitate fun and education. Children are welcome to stay for the first part of the Sunday service, where there is a “story for all ages,” then proceed to the childcare rooms. After service, children can enjoy treats and juice in the Fellowship Hall with their families.

The nursery is available for little ones who aren’t old enough for RE. For children more comfortable remaining in the sanctuary during the service, please borrow a book or a “busy bag” from the back lobby (behind the sanctuary).

Please get in touch with the office at office@uniteduuc.org for more information.
